Re: Women’s Soccer- Winning

Love to comment on positives. WNU soccer beats Bona in OT 3-2.
Niagara led 2-0 at half but seemed to falter in the second half allowing Bona to tie it up.
Now 5 wins in a row!

Women’s Soccer- Winning

NU’s Women’s soccer team is compiling a strong record to start the season. In fact, it may be one of its strongest starts ever. After losing its first game at UB, it has beat Syracuse, Cornell, Cleveland State, and yesterday Duquesne. Next up is a game at Bona.

Re: NU Frosh Walk to the Falls

You are right.. There are significantly less housing on campus now then even the late 70s. Clet probably has less than 50% of its one time capacity and Timon is no longer housing. I think the residency requirements now allow all seniors and juniors to live off campus. No sure about sophomores. Combi...

Re: B-Ball:Xavier & Ohio State / No Bonnies or UB ?

Remember the days when NU would play in a major holiday tourney! Oh well times change and I am sure that Covid expenses cost the school a lot. The positive is that enrollment seems to be holding firm and still hope that covid will sometime let our lives return to normal. Actually expecting good thin...

A nice distraction reading something positive in this difficult week.
Hoping some of the teams get a decent locker room with the rebuild of Kieran.

Re: Article Than Brings Back Memories

As a student at the time, I have a different take. We all believed that the Sports Illustrated Article in Murph's sophomore year mentioning Niagara was the key. The article touched on schools with few black students but who were led by black players. We believe the mandate was given that basketball ...

Re: Big Men At NU (List)

The injury to Mike Hanley really set NU back. He was a major recruit who never really recovered from the knee injury. Combined with Watson and then Vern Allen, this would have given NU a Real big time front court which would have made NU one of the better teams in the East. Who knows what that might...

Re: Sad News ........Clint Holtz Passed Away

A reminder that life can be short and we should take advantage of all opportunities to maximize our life. A positive reputation in life is a good remembrance.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Re: Big Men At NU (List)

Charron Fisher was one heck of a player but not really a big man. That was the problem. He was a player of the year in the Catholic League in Philly but was lucky if he was 6’4”. That is why he was not heavily recruited by the Philly schools. He had to carry the load of inside play for NU while he r...
