Post by jhart »

NY Post reports today:
Arizona received NCAA formal notice of allegations stemming from a federal investigation into shady recruiting practices 3 years ago.

Mohegan Sun is completing plans to host St John's and more than 30 college teams at its 10,000 seat arena for several early season tournaments.

Great article about the Mohegan Casino tourney. . This should get a lot of attention from the press looking for some good news on resumption of college basketball.

It would be interesting if the AHA organized a "hockey bubble" in Lake Placid or Utica, IMO.

I’ll opt for Utica, closer with some great ITALIAN restaurants.

The article on Arizona states that head coach Sean Miller stands accused of not supervising his program. And, it's alleged that he paid monthly cash installments to his center, Ayton while he played there. This could really blow up on the program.

Unbelievable that WSU Shockers MBB coach is walking away with a $7.9mm settlement after players reported him for choking players and an assistant coach.
College sports are out of control!
That's after S. Carolina FB coach got $13mm after being fired !

I see St Peter's has taken Manhattan's place this coming Wednesday at St John's in "scheduled" opener in the resurrected Lapchick Tourney.

I see a trend!
Creighton just withdrew from an 8 team Tourney, the 5th to withdraw.
Washington just withdrew from a WC Tourney.
All COVID-19!
If BB is going to have a season, it has to be delayed for all well being.
Start with a hope start in January and watch how the virus progresses.
I doubt it will be safe to have fans attend games until at least March/ April.
Living is more important than one season of sports.
Stay home this Thanksgiving. When Canada celebrated theirThanksgiving over our Columbus Day weekend, they had a spike in cases!
You will see that here by mid- December I'm afraid.
