Hammonds lit things up and crushed any CC comeback. It’s amazing this kid was never really recruited out of HS with only Casey taking a flyer on him. Cintron, MH, Illorio , and Thomason looked pretty impressive on the floor together in the last 8 mins of the game. Next up : At Iona and Manhattan. Should be a good test for NU.

FINAL NU 68-58 on 50% FG effort and 40% from 3 point line.
One more W over the team below the bridge as our women won in Buffalo v them in OT 87-86 just days ago.
On to hockey in Colorado tomorrow!

Cintron has vastly improved in both ends of the court and anytime Marcus H. puts up 25 points , NU should prevail. How about Thomasson driving the lane and play big. Suddenly the Purps have discovered another offensive weapon to supplement Hammy.

The Gaels are good!
Hope Iorio is okay after a quiet game.
Surprised to see attendance at 1156; Must include season ticket holders not present.
Anyone going to Iona game?

Marcus Hammond went off, Jordan Cintron had a double-double and Niagara delivered the biggest blows in a slugfest Thursday:

Le: Lost in the story was NU D really stepped up in the second half.

I thought defensive effort was outstanding," Paulus said. "Just really proud of the different guys that stepped in there to make enough plays for us to get the win.”

RE attendance, vacationing students is not the issue, it's the management, IMO.

NU is the worst run athletic department in the nation!

No vision, no energy, no plan, no marketing and, as a result, no fans.

Where's St. Johns, Bonnies, et al on the schedule?

Where is the Big Four?

Where is the band to add color to the games?

Where is the Index to advise and inform?

"Keep do'n what you're do'n and you'll keep gett'n what you're gett'n".....

Mike: I have known you for a lot of years and have a lot of respect for you. However, some of your comments are a bit harsh describing the current state of affairs. I think we have to give the NU Admin and every other mid to smaller programs a free pass due to the "draconian effects" of Covid the last two seasons. With that being said, I agree with you on scheduling the Vincentian schools especially Bona's along with some resources being committed to the Big Four Tourney in Buff. Why were Albany and Damien College playing downtown?
