NU BASEBALL OFF TO A HOT START

After a west coast trip NU returned to the DC area for a three game set v GW.
NU lost in extras 9-8 Friday but won in extras Saturday scoring 9 in the 10th for 12-4 win.
Rubber match in Arlington, Va Sunday at noon.
NU IS 7-7 ON THE SEASON.

Considering all of their games have been on the road , their record of 7-7 is very good .

This actually looks like a great start for NU baseball considering that they normally start losing 75%+/- of their beginning, out of conference games.
Heck, I think February was warmer than this start of March up here in the NE. NU baseball needs a domed stadium.

NU came from down 2-0 to score four over last four innings to win 4-2 v GW to take series 2-1.
Next up is a three game series at St Peter's.
NU 8-7 on the season.

Impressive performance. The weather/temperature won't be ideal in NJ, but good prep for home games. Wondering how many times the team had to play ball with snow flurries coming down.

NU took MAAC opener at SPU 10-4 Friday, March 24.
Saturday moved to a DH Sunday due to rain.
NU won Game 1 17-5 and it's 1-1 early in 2nd game.

NU sweeps series in Jersey City v SPU with sun and temps in the 60's.
Final in game two today 15-7 with lots of hitting from Giordano, Cortl and Tucker.
Almost embarrassing that we scored 42 runs in the series.
Back to south Jersey next weekend with our 12-7 record and 3-0 in MAAC.

30 hits by NU in the double header. That sure will help the batting averages.
Rider typically has a good baseball team and is 15-8 in the season.
Next weekend will be a good test for the team.

NU is 11-7 overall with wins over Oregon, George Mason (2), Portland and George Washington U (2). Great start !
