2019 Hoops Recruits

Postby Suge » Fri Oct 26, 2018 9:01 pm

Probably should have done this sooner but I'm lazy. Only ten offers according to Verbal Commits. Maybe less. Two players are questionable(Miller-Moore and Joe Jones). Like I said in the 2018 thread, NU has not made a publicized offer since the end of July. To compare, Marist and Siena have two players committed already. Rider has one for 2020. Beat NU out for said player. Here is the link: http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/niagara

PG
Femi Odukale Jr 6'4

SG
Daniel Scott 6'1 Park School in Buffalo
Ahmadu Sarnor 6'2
Sean Miller-Moore---NU offered out of his in Canada. Went JUCO. Recently decommitted from UB.

PF
Joe Jones 6'10 Park School in Buffalo------>Prep in Canada. Pretty sure he was suppose to be in the 2018 class.
Essam Mustafa 6'8 Long Island Lutheran
Jabez Thomas 6'9 University Prep in Rochester
Amadou Traore 6'7 Next Level Prep via Brooklyn Collegiate. Visit scheduled for the weekend of 10/26
Malcolm Bailey 6'8 Ridley College in Canada

C
Ben Hendriks 6'10 Athlete Institute Basketball Academy in Canada.

We are going to need a big man or two to replace Robb, King and Marvin P. I would think Casey would be looking at a 5th year starter as well.

AC Fred Dupree is in attendance at the Can-AM showcase in Buffalo. Pretty good names here. LaMelo Ball, of the famous Big Baller Brand family, is playing. I don't think we're recruiting him though. LOL

Daniel Scott has transferred from Park School of Buffalo to Oak Hill in Va. Oak Hill played in the HS Showcase on ESPN/ESPNU with a host of other top ranked HS teams. Might be able to catch it on replay on the ESPN app/ESPN3/ESPN+.

He's a "2" star power forward per verbalcommits.com

http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/ahmir-langlais

Doesn't look good for NU :

Atlanta, GA – The 2019 forward Ahmir Langlais of Holy Spirit Prep is looking to have a big senior season with his new school. The 6-foot-8 forward could be considered a real sleeper in the state of Georgia. Ahmir ran with Atlanta Xpress this past summer alongside top Georgia standouts in Clemson commit Chase Hunter and Anthony Edwards.

Ahmir has offers from schools like Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, College of Charleston, Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, and East Tennessee State. He has expressed interest from Georgia Tech, Georgia, UAB, Seton Hall, Western Carolina, Kansas State, Murray State, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Troy, and Northeastern.

“College of Charleston is recruiting the heaviest. We are hearing a lot of Murray State and Middle Tennessee. Tennessee Tech has also been coming on strong as well”, his dad tells me. He also tells me that they have set one official visit so far to College of Charleston on October 13-14th and are working on a visit to Old Dominion and others.

The rising senior has transferred from Parkview to Holy Spirit Prep, a school who features top 2020 SG Anthony Edwards. Ahmir is a key addition to this Cougars squad whose size and length will certainly help them in the front court. He is versatile forward who can run the floor well and holds a high IQ for the game. He has an inside presence and has a huge effect on the glass as well.
