Re: NU @ Stephen F. Austin : ESPN Plus
Early in second half and SFU leading by 2. Problem is that they are killing NU on offensive rebounds. When Waterman learns to use his height he will be a star. Needs the learning curve to be expedited for NU to compete on the boards.
Re: NU @ Stephen F. Austin : ESPN Plus
SFA just rattled off 10 consecutive points early in the 2nd half. What a time to tune in. NU is having difficulty rebounding in both ends of the court. Size is a problem .

I love James Towns as a player but his body language has been one of dejection all game long.
Re: NU @ Stephen F. Austin : ESPN Plus
NU did not quit late in the game as they are closing the gap. Half of the SFA players look like they can play college football at a D1 level .

The good news is that NU continued to battle in the second half cutting a 21 pt lead to only 8 with 3 minutes left.
Re: NU @ Stephen F. Austin : ESPN Plus
Thanks Arky dude for your observations. NU didn’t fold like a cheap suit being down by 20 points in the second half . Our half court D skipped a bit in the 2nd half. This team is deep. Just need some time to find some chemistry .

Love game report from Ark.
Stats seem to tell the story that I saw. Lost OF Rebounds 17-6. Turnovers 22-13. They just seem to get worn down later in games with no inside bodies to compete.

I honestly like the fight of this young team and I like Paulus as a coach. He corrects and coaches without demeaning the guys. We definitely got hurt down low by their bigs all night and rebounding will likely be a weakness all year. I think the future is bright for the program as a whole with Paulus though.

I agree with the previous comments and I also liked how the Purps roared back in the final 7 minutes. I also agree that Paulus has a bright future at Niagara .

Spot on Arky. I meant to say we have depth, but play small compared to most squads. Maybe Ciotti will help as he assimilates to D1 basketball. I believe he was PB's first signing. We definitely got hurt down low by their bigs all night and rebounding will likely be a weakness all year.
