Blame it all on the uneven amount of teams in the AHC for the unbalanced scheduling. WE need Navy to start up a hockey program or another program to join up in the AHC.

Yep.

The AHC has never been run well.

We should play Cansisius each year home and home, IMO.

They can play them non conference but at the expense of their 6 non conference allotment. The AHC scheduling format sometimes has them playing 3 games instead of 2 as well. The reason why at times they play twice and both are either home or away is to have a balanced number of total league home and away games. If they want to eliminate a non conference game to play again both schools would have to agree to do it. A perfect way to do it would be this: A four team tournament to start the year where both Canisius and Niagara play Canadian teams as their excluded exhibition game then the following night the Canadian teams play each other and Niagara and Canisius play in the nightcap. Someone has to win twice and if two teams do then either total goals or goal differential decide the champion. If they could get two nearby Canadian schools they could make it an annual event like the Beanpot in Boston and have NU and CC host the first night and perhaps play the second night at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo as a yearly regular season opener. I would think Canadian fans may be interested in seeing their teams play there too.
