You can still try and get a transfer waiver if you sat because of injury, right? If so, Waterman would have a shot at one of those.

I don't know how many follow Jon Rothstein on twitter but he some interesting stats with regards to transferring. One would be relevant to Noah who seems to have NBA aspirations. Odds aren't great for him. The other deals more so with the MAAC which has been decimated by grad transfers this year.

In the last 5 years of the NBA draft, 150 different players have been selected in the first round. Only FOUR of them have been transfers. One of the four started his career at a D2 school. That's 2.6%.

In the last 5 years if the NBA draft, 300 different players have been selected in total. Only 14 of those players were transfers. That's 4.6%.

Graduation rate for all student athletes who have used the grad transfer rule to gain immediately is 50%. The percentage for men's bball players earning their grad degrees is 34%.

Rothstein has some graphs and studies linked in his twitter page for those interested. Here is hi twitter page:

NU offers 2021 PG Luke Brown, per his twitter page. Luke is 6'2 and from Blackford HS in Hartford City, IN. His twitter page has another offer from Cleveland St. According to MaxPreps, Luke averaged almost 33 ppg and 7.7 apg.

Watching the limited video footage, I don't see a lot of speed, but it seems like he handles the ball well. One opinion within the clip is that he works hard all the time, so that's a plus, and with a former PG as coach at NU, he could blossom into a heady player with improved, consistent range and passing skills. All the more reason to get a tough frontcourt player who can set solid screens.

It appears Jordan Furlough 6’8” F from Brunswick Community College (see page 2) committed to D-2 Georgia Southwestern College. We apparently did not offer him.

The coaching staff doesn’t need a Monday morning quarterback but here are a few transfers we might consider. Two are originally from Mali, Tariq Eisa 6’8”, from Oaksville Ont, played JC at Gillette College, offered by Detroit, and Madami Diarra, 6’10” 240lbs, freshman at St Louis Univ, play a St Benedict’s Prep in NJ. The other is Zack Crisler, 6’9” 215lbs freshman at Rice from near Philly. He was originally offered out of high school by St Joes, LaSalle, Penn State and QPac. That’s my two cents, which might be about what it is worth.

Can't lie. The lack of info, outside of our last offer for the class of 2021, has been a little concerning. Furlough was the last one I found and we didn't even offer him.

Anyway, Mohammed Wague to Harcum JC. Wague, at 6'9-6'10, is more wing than big but would have been a nice get. Definitely sounds like a late bloomer with HM upside.
