Iona (3-7) is coming off an impressive win at Rider. This game could really go either way, nothing would surprise me. Iona can play big with Agee...NU gets 8.5 points per Vegas.

On The Court
Iona Gaels (3-7, 1-2 MAAC)
• The Gaels, the four-time defending MAAC champions, were tabbed as preseason favorites in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
• Tajuan Agee and E.J. Crawford were named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team, and Asante Gist was selected to the second team.
• Iona defeated Rider, 69-66, on January 10 to snap a three-game losing streak.
• Three Gaels are averaging double figures scoring - E.J. Crawford (17.4 ppg), Tajuan Agee (14.0 ppg), and Asante Gist (10.1 ppg). Crawford is second in the MAAC in scoring.
• The Gaels lead the MAAC in steals per game (8.7) with five players averaging at least one steal per game, led by Isaiah Washington (1.8).

Just put the game on a few minutes ago...I see Kuakumensah hasn’t been on the floor yet—any word on him?

Will be very tough for NU to go so small for 40 minutes without him and escape New Rochelle with the W.

I am a liking what I am seeing from the Hynes Center . Roberts with 14 points during the 1st, now Hammond is getting it done,

First look at the refreshed Hynes Center. Very nice job , rotating the court 90 degrees and putting in the new modern seating.

The announcers are very complimentary on Paulis and the Purps.

Niagara takes a 1 point lead with under 5 to go. Just like last game. Lets hope it doesn't finish that way again.

Nailbiter. NU with a 1 point lead and taking the ball out after an Iona timeout with 12 seconds left.

WHOA NIAGARA WINS 70-69. What an ending as Niagara inbounds with 12 seconds, Iona fails to foul and Niagara literally runs the clock out. YUGE WIN for the Purps!

A win 70-69. Only had leads of 3 points twice in the game at 3-0 and 70-67.

Nice win. Played at times, with 5 guards!
