In my opinion Massiello most annoying coach in MAAC. Hate losing to him.

They just don't have the ability to play well against very good defensive teams. Mainly due to lack of a strong frontcourt to break the D down.

Hopefully they don't see this team again this year.

It was great to see NU on national TV tonight against a tough Manhattan club. We are just too thin upfront, but these kids played hard every night and pay attention to D. Yeah Maiseilo is a pain in the ass but the man can flat out coach. Frashilla was on at the half, talking about his big NCAA win over Okie. I remember that day clearly, sat in a bar in Hartford at lunch with a Jasper alum cheering them on. 1995.

Went to the game and the adage "you can coach basketball but you can't coach height" proved itself once again.

NU played with a lot of heart but the height of Manhattan was too much, and Massiello coached a great game. They'd go inside for a few plays, the D would collapse, and then they'd go outside and hit from long range.

Manhattan was a fun place to play and lots of enthusiasm.

Couple notes: McDonald is a pure shooter and shot well, but I am thinking there is a lot of upside to his game. His release is a quick as anyone in basketball and tough to defend. When we land an inside presence look for his game to really open up.

Can't imagine Noah paying this year, which is fine. He's an investment into the future and will play a big role henceforth. He dressed and was wearing sneaks, seemed to be fine with full foot range. Does anyone know if he is practicing, how he looks?

Mike : Thanks for you game report. Your comments are spot on regarding NU's lack of size and take on GP.
