• Rider's 45.0 field goal percent in league games rank second.

Looking back at the meeting at Niagara, both teams shot very well from 3 point range. Niagara just a little better at 48% which was the difference in the game. Rider outrebounded Niagara by double digits and Niagara had 7 steals. Other than those it was very even. Justin Roberts had an excellent game with 16 points, most of them from 3 point land and he had 4 assists with no turnovers. Niagara will have to be hot again from 3 point land unless they can contain Rider from the 3 as well.

YUP, Rider has some "bigs" who clean it up well in the paint. Marshall, Vaughn and Scott are all in the TOP TEN for rebounding. We will have to consistently hit the "3" to come away with a W today...I'm out on the mountain today--will watch the game tonight.

Mike Vaccaro, NY Post sports writer who grew up in my town on LI but a generation later has a nice article today lauding The MAAC.

Everything on offense seems to be a deep nba-range three. Virtually nothing going to the hoop.

If they don't hit the three ball they have no chance.

Rider shooting 68% to NUs 32% Hammond 1 for 7 from field, could be worse.

The margin for error for this team is so razor thin that if they don't play a near flawless game this is the result.

Niagara got smoked today (by 15, but could have been a lot worse) but Nick MacDonald is one hell of a deadeye from long range, reminding me a lot of Kevin Huerter who plays with the Hawks!
