The award is for 1st year coaches only but still good for him and the program to be recognized.

Just posted and then deleted it when I saw you already did it. A great honor for Paulis and for a small mid major like Niagara . Congratulations to Greg.
I just hope we can hold on to him for a 4 year cycle at least .

Congratulations Coach...We should all enjoy Coach Paulus while we have him...he will not be here long!
My hope is that when we replace him, we do not fall back into the likes of Paulus' predecessor!

BUMP. Let's hope we get some good solid years (4-5 years) out of him! JAM realized NU gave him the "chance of his lifetime" and turned down several offers after some early success. Maybe GP will follow JAM's way of thinking !

BTW, Lipscomb's Lenny Acuff, Merrimack's Joe Gallo, San Fran's Todd Golden and Siena's Carmen Maciariello had great seasons as well.

Didn’t know Joe B. Hall played at Sewanee - U of South. Bout 10 mins north of here up on the Cumberland Plateau. One of the most beautiful campuses I ever have visited . Sewanee Football beat GA, TN, Bama in football back in the day. Great history.

I never understand why nearly all posts reference to coaches is that the good ones well leave.

Inn;t is possible that NU can also grow the program and be a go-to place?

Every schools in the nation is 1, 2 players away form being very competitive.

Money should not be a problem...good programs generate significant incomes and many other benefits.

I would expect GP to announce his new assistant coach very soon as quiet period presently is scheduled to end April 15th.
Don't be surprised if that is extended.

Hoolloway did a heck of a job at St. Pete's!

St. Pete's Shaheen Holloway Named “The Rock” MAAC Coach of the Year
Atlantic City, N.J. (March 11, 2020) – Saint Peter’s University’s Shaheen Holloway was named the 2019-20 “The Rock” MAAC Coach of the Year, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.

In his second season at the helm, Holloway led the Peacocks to a 14-6 conference record and the No. 2 overall seed in the 2020 Hercules Tires MAAC Men’s Basketball Championships after being voted to finish 9th in the preseason.

Under his leadership this season, his student-athletes have picked up 10 MAAC Rookie of the Week selections, five All-MAAC selections and Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors.

Now, he looks to lead the Peacocks to a quarterfinal win over reigning MAAC Champion Iona College tonight at 9:30 p.m. A win would secure Saint Peter’s a spot in the semifinals and bring the Peacocks one step closer to their first championship since 2011.

Prior to his time in Jersey City, Holloway spent eight seasons as the associate head coach at his alma mater, Seton Hall.
