Good pick up for AEAST securing NJIT as a member. I wonder why the NEC did not pursue them or even the MAAC with their new on campus arena.

NJIT's new $110 million facility was built in late 2017. Great academics as well ! Maybe NJIT chose AEAST over the MAAC because of Stonybrook , UVM, UA etc....

I knew NJIT had a huge victory in it's relatively short Division One History. On Dec , 2014 NJIT knocked off then number 17 Michigan at Ann Arbor 72-70. NJIT accomplished this as the only Independent D 1 team in the country. The attached also refers to it's 0-29 2007-08 season followed by a 1-30 season .

I remember that win over UM. I think with the new arena, NJIT has the potential to develop into a decent mid-major program in AEAST.
