Thanks for the update pipes. The kid has good size for a shooting guard at 6’4 and seems to have some serious upside ! According to the TU article, Brown was getting serious looks from other MAAC programs and several AEAST schools...Eagle or NU Eagle must have some scoop on him being from Albany academy.

“If he decides to do an extra year after graduation, you are looking at the CAA (Colonial Athletic Association) or the A-10 (Atlantic-10). I will let a secret out. “

Lockport Journal Story:

For the first time since Joe Mihalich roamed Monteagle Ridge, the Niagara University men’s basketball program has received a commitment from a player over a year away from a move to Lewiston.

Let's hope Niagara can retain him. He is very highly ranked in New England Preps. https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/ ... ss-of-2021
Has been on the AA all New England team the last two years. Kind of where Rich Kelly formerly of Quinnipiac was and Niagara's own Greg Kuakamensah was honorable mention on that same list when he played AA NE Preps. Shandon Brown was second team AAA as well. Kevin Marfo was a first team selection. So by looking at those names Brown certainly looks like a very high prospect. Also he is the top ranked New Hampshire player of his class: https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/ ... ss-of-2021

To put it in more perspective these were the class rankings in New England of some players:

Shandon Brown 33
Greg Kuakamensah 46
Rich Kelley 59
Kevin Marfo 12
Buddy Boeheim 14
Domenico Vaughn 23

So Robert Brown at 15 is quite impressive as a Niagara recruit. If you want to check others the lists are here: https://newenglandrecruitingreport.com/ ... /archives/

NE thanks much for inside scoop on Brown.

Based on your reporting regarding the NH Prep Leagues, he does seem to be a "touted" recruit of sorts. His overall ranking was higher than Vaughn, Marfo and Kelly which is pretty darn impressive.

Also, NU's Will Engelhardt was ranked "21" in the NH Class of 2019. At 6'7, 210 lbs, maybe he gets some time in the paint this season. Was he red-shirted last season ?

Brown seems like a great get. Already at 6'4, he has good size. When he does get to campus, he reads as if he'll be able to step right in and contribute while learning from guys like Solomon and Hammonds, both of which will be seniors. Brown is from Albany. Really surprised that Siena nor Albany were in on him. Their loss.

Brown seems like a great get.

If Stony Brook offered him a full ship obviously the kid has some skill and upside. His release is slightly unconventional, but it appears he has good range and can stick the J.
