2022 Recruiting/
Re: 2021 Recruiting thread
Niagara has offered Sam Iorio F 6’7” grad transfer from South Alabama previously attended American University. Hails from Allentown Pa. I don’t know for sure but I think he has two years of eligibility. He played two years at American, sat a year at South Alabama and then played a year, So under COVID rules he can play five over six and as a grad transfer he would not have to sit out a year.

Re: 2021 Recruiting thread
Brett Ervin's Twitter appears to hint that the Purps got a player !!
Re: 2021 Recruiting thread
Youtube highlight film shows he has 3 pt. range and can use his left hand inside. Not speedy, but looks strong, sturdy and confident.
Re: 2021 Recruiting thread / South Bama's 6'7 Sam Iorio Commits!
Iorio averaged 24 mins a game, 8 pts and 4 boards.

In addition to players the progressive teams are recruiting ticket holders:
Dear Saints Fan,
We hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe during these challenging times. Please know that we are thinking about you, our Siena family.
Thank you for your continued support of Siena Basketball. We finished the 2020-21 season as regular season champions for the second year in a row. We are excited for the future and head coach Carmen Maciariello has signed a three-year contract extension through the 2025-26 season. Maciariello has amassed a stellar 32-15 (.681) overall record in his first two seasons as a collegiate head coach while leading his alma mater. He piloted the Saints to a program record-tying 16-game win streak bridging the past two seasons, including a program record eight straight road wins. Earlier this season, Maciariello tied for the fourth fastest coach in MAAC history to reach 30 wins, achieving the mark in just his first 43 games.
We are working on finishing our home schedule and are looking forward to having you back in the stands at the Times Union Center for the 2021-22 season! Currently we are accepting deposits to renew your Siena Basketball season tickets for 2021-22, if you did not move money over from the 2020-21 season. We are currently accepting deposits of $25 per seat. With this deposit your seats will be reserved. We will be sending a more detailed invoice soon.
Please reach out to the Siena Fan Relations Management Center to place a deposit by phone at 518-487-2202 or email at sienatickets2@siena.edu

Noah Thomason JC Point Guard...
...has apparently committed to NU. 6’3” 200 out of Butler (KS) Community College , played one year at Houston Baptist. He would be our ninth guard. Earlier in the day Nick McDonald announced he had entered the TransferPortal. his dad is head coach at Daemen so he could be joining his dad. Nine guards begs the question is one of our existing guards leaving?
Re: 2021 Recruiting thread /NU adds JC Point Guard
Good luck to Nick . He’s a good kid who had his moments on the floor for NU.
The Houston Baptist commit seems like a quality signing , but ya another guard. One has to wonder how many other guards will leave . We did sign one big , the transfer from North Alabama .
Thomasson averaged 15 pts per game, 4.5 rebounds and recorded 107 assists at Butler CC during the 2021 season. He shot 46% from the floor and 34% from beyond the arc.

Re: 2021 Recruiting /NU adds JC Point Guard & 6’7” Iorio xfer
Was always waiting for Nick to light them up for NU but it never happened.
That he is leaving indicates better guards coming in, and if he goes to Daemon he'll be a star.
Seemed like a good kid, wish him well. His dad is a fine guy.
