CELEBRATE LEGENDS

Post by jhart »

I just had a nice Merry Christmas call with Frank Layden who like all of us are wondering what will occur the rest of CBB season and then spring training for MLB season in Arizona. Arizona spring training is an annual event for Frank and Barbara. They are well.
We acknowledged Hubie Brown's return to NBA color commentary on Christmas Day as the best in the business. Good to have Hubie back as he does his homework like no other in the business.
NU grads from the mid-50's continue on.
As Frank always leads us : "Here's to old Niagara onward to victory"!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!

Nice to know he's still out there, loving life. He came a long way from Seaton Hall HS on Long island back in the early 60's. Hubie sounded like he was ill on the broadcast- very hoarse. Hope he's OK. Love the way he digs layers deep on a game and sees it all, like only a former coach can.
Thanks J Hart for the update.

Ditto to all ! Good to hear Frank is doing well. NU should have paid the man years ago which probably would have translated into a BE or A10 invite.
