SCENE SETTER
• After playing seven of its last nine games on the road, including the last four games, Niagara returns to the Gallagher Center where the Purple Eagles will play six of their final eight games.

• In last season's meeting at the Gallagher Center, Marcus Hammond notched his second career double-double with a game-high 26 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, and Shandon Brown scored a career-high 17 points to propel the Purple Eagles to a 77-72 win.
• The Purple Eagles are 12-5 at the Gallagher Center in the last two seasons, including an 11-4 record in MAAC games. Niagara is 3-3 at home this season.

• Kobi Nwandu was named Big 4 Player of the Week on January 25 after averaging a team-high 19 points while shooting 41 percent from the field and 57 percent from the 3-point line against Quinnipiac on January 22-23. He also averaged 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the two-game series.
• In the January 23 meeting at Quinnipiac, Marcus Hammond (22) and Kobi Nwandu (20) became the first pair of teammates to score 20 points in a game since January 26, 2019.

Citron is having his best game of the year. Being very aggressive. NU is up by 10 with 8 minutes left. Totally different game than Friday.

Nice solid win 83-74. Cintron with a breakout game 22 points 8-8 shooting 6-7 free throws with the only miss in the last minute on his last attempt and 8 rebounds to go along with his 4 fouls. Kind of like a Gordie Howe hattrick.

With Marcus not having a great outing, teammates covered w 52% FG , 22 points of TO's and 40-28 advantage points in the paint!
NU played to it's 10 TO average v 15 w some coming when the game was in hand.
Two transfers lead the effort today. Need more W's to gain 5 spot and avoid first round game.
Happy to see three contributors besides me. NOT! Where are our alumni...HELLO!!!!

Jim, it hard following games that look like scrimmages with empty backgrounds.
Has NU announced anything about the injured? Roberts was a key contributor and nothing. It is more important now than ever to keep the fans informed.

Looking at the remaining schedule it certainly looks difficult to climb to 5th. The top 2 teams twice and Canisius twice. Probably 5 wins would be needed or at least 4 if 2 of those come against whomever ends up in first or second to help with a tiebreaker. The standings are slightly different if you look only at league games. I assume they will calculate the standings based on win % since there will be an unbalanced schedule.
