Siena leading 36-35 at half.
NU shooting well.
Both teams playing much better.

Siena played better and pulls out a win.

Hammond had only 3 pts.

Caught the last 2 minutes on live stats pay by play. Exciting finish! It appears NU can play even with the Saints.

Rebounding totals are ugly. A somewhat lucky basket by Siena at the end of a would’ve, should’ve game by NU. Having a few 6’8+‘ players to throw at NU benefited Siena all game .

"Niagara had a pretty good look at a weekend sweep at Siena, the team picked unanimously in the preseason by the coaches of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to defend last year's title...."

Good report, Mike, thanks.

You're not going to win many games when your top ball player (Hammond) is held to 3 pts.

Good "D" by Siena.

For as good as Pickett is offensively, he might be the best on-ball defender in the MAAC.

At the same time, for NU to be a buzzer-beater away from beating Siena with only 3 points from Hammond is encouraging.
