Niagara-Marist
Re: Niagara-Marist
Ugly finish but an NU W 67-62
Re: Niagara-Marist
listened to game on radio...just like freshman year in Clet Hall. What a difference a COACH makes. I have faith in GP and never felt as though we would lose.
Re: Niagara-Marist
Next up is Pitino and Iona's non-academics in the semis!
Re: Niagara-Marist
I notice that every game NU plays is close win or lose. Can Paulus ever produce a blowout? which this team was on there way but lost a large lead. The team got very conservative while up 17. This game should not have been a nail biter.

Re: Niagara-Marist
The tournament is set up to give the #1 Seed an advantage by getting a bye, playing an opponent that has to play 2 days in a row then getting a day off before playing the semifinals and finals. Since Iona beat #1 Siena they get that day off before playing Niagara. Advantage: Iona. However they also have already played 2 games in 3 days so it becomes 3 in 4 days vs. Niagara's 2 in 2 days so Niagara gets a little advantage there.
Re: Niagara-Marist
Think about the millions of college basketball fans who will be rooting for Niagara to beat Iona. People who never heard of the MAAC will be pulling for NU. NU will get a lot of exposure, especially if we beat Iona.
