NU lead Bobcats throughout and won 14-12 to secure host at home in playoffs.

And for our female alum who "was bothered" by my reference to "Lady Eagles", while watching the Volunteers of Tn in softball today, the announcers constantly referred to the players as "The Lady Vols".
I'm sure I could find dozen of other female college programs referred to as such.
I had five sisters one who was a dynamic BB player too soon for the modern game smirked when I mentioned the concern for my comment.
Several other women just said almost in tandem " You've got to be kidding"!
I have been encouraging women alums to participate on this site and I have been the only contributor on this site to continuously post women sports events.
Oh,, ask Jada about me!
I have escorted coach through the NYAC and introduced her to the club's AD.
The club is ranked #1 in private clubs in America.
I established an intern program at the club which has included several women and men from NU.

Don’t sweat it, Mr. Hart. You’re a great guy and alum and are doing great things to promote the school and women’s athletics. As a high school administrator and father of 2 girls, I thank you.

It was nothing against you, I just don't understand why we need to be referred to as ladies in sports? It's fine if it's been part of your name an identity as a program but I just feel it's necessary to add here and there. I'm not sure why it rubs me the wrong way just does? We were always referred to as just the Niagara University Purple Eagles and at the women's hockey frozen four the had t-shirts with Lady Eagles when all the other teams were just known as the brown bears, the Minnesota Golden Gofers or the UMD Bull Dogs. Maybe it's just that memory that puts a bad taste in my mouth.

PE alum:

I know you are upset when NU folded the program and to a certain degree does not recognize your accomplishments advancing to the F4. There should be more recognition for the programs achievements. With that being said, the term LADY is based on storied traditions of the various programs like the Lady Vols etc... There is nothing racist or sexist regarding the use of this term . ... BTW, did they ever move the banner of the F4 or produce a new one at Dwyer ?
