NU only leads in the one important stat, the score!
Need to clean up play away in 3rd period!

BEN isn't going away with a 3rd period early with only 3 into period: But NU now on PP.

Stats says BEN started period with no goalie.
Don't know if that's been verified.
NU failed to convert PP.
Don't trust the BEN feed but it's saying NU scored and it's 4-2.
It says game is over but I doubt it.

Ok I just checked in and saw the Bentley stat page saying Niagara 4-2.
Hope that is a win for the good guys.

Now,I need the Phillies tie the series tonight.

Twelve-minute intermissions make the games a little shorter!
Tonight's game was about two hours.

NU 6-3-1 moved into 3rd place in the AHA after sweeping BU over the weekend . NU has vastly improved their special teams play compared to previous recent seasons. NU was 6-6 on the penalty kill and doing well on the PP. NU is scoring on a consistent basis with good offensive production both at home and on then road. It’s a refreshing contrast.

Niagara Notes

Niagara was 6-6 on the penalty kill and raised their penalty killing percentage by five points, they have killed 27 of 36 power plays.
The Purple Eagles went 1-3 on the power play and are now 7-27 on the power play.
Veltri allowed just two goals this weekend on 67 shots. He now has a 2.70 goals against average and .914 save percentage.
Cox and Pineo led the Purple Eagles with four points while Cox and Carreau both had two goals.
13 different players notched points in the two game sweep with seven players having multiple points.
It is the first AHA weekend sweep for Niagara since they swept Bentley last season at home. The last road regular season AHA sweep was Dec. 1-2 against Air Force in the 2017-18 season.
