Lake storm that has arrived brings back fond memories of the huge storms we all experienced back in the day.

We are all fond of those storms. At Niagara, it was the first time I had heard of lake effect snow.
Many times, Niagara actually escaped the effect of those storms. In my senior year however, we got slammed. Rt 104 in front of the school had snow piled so high, they brought in back hoes to clear snow that had piled so high blocking the light poles. We also nailed an army blanket across our main bedroom window in a varsity village house that was not wind proof, ha.

I think they closed school for a over week in 1978 due to constant lake effect snow. Lots of beer was consumed.
I thought the Bills had already won the Super Bowl? Looks like the Fish, Jets and Pats will have something to say about that media assumption.
