Came close to blowing a second half comfortable lead with that poor foul shooting by many, including Thomasson. Nice to be lucky.

Hope the coaching staff work w NT after 1/6 on the line.
Hope he's willing to listen to improve this facet of his game.
Terry Carey could help him.

With Noah as the main ball handler he has to hit those free throws , if not he'll be a liability late in the game when NU has the lead . As many close games that NU seems to play , they don't have the luxury of missing free throws . Glad that they were able to get back in the win column , hopefully they can get on a hot streak .

Take the split in the road.
Re: MBB AT ST PETERS JAN 22
Nice to get a win, but 59 points? Where's the rest of the team? Then again looking at the MAAC scores, it's about average. Guess I miss those days when the team averaged over 70. Is it that the defense/competition is intense or aren't there many decent shooters in the conference?
Theory: the transfer portal causes a bloodletting of talented bigs and scorers, making the smaller conferences weaker. I think I heard on TV that almost every team lost players to transfer this season. One commentator said that D1 coaches will now be like junior college coaches, having to reload every year. Wondering if the NCAA regrets their decision on that change.

I do not think the NCAA had any choice. The Power 5 schools pushed this and then the politicians joined in the fray lambasting the NCAA for economic injustice to athletes, and then we got added the NIL as part of big-time college athletics. Left in the wake are the hundreds of small colleges, especially in the Northeast and Midwest without the money to compete in this new environment. The NCAA is now just a lap dog for the Biggies afraid to do anything against them for fear they will bolt and form their own governing sports entity.
