SHU 1-0 after 2nd as NU won Face offs 14-3 in 2nd and had two PP'S without success. No penalties for NU in the period.
NU is playing disciplined.

NU is hanging around in a good position to make a run in the 3rd. It would be nice if there was some TV coverage tonight.

Down 1-0. Two games remain at SHU in Fairfield if NU extends. Thus the importance of home ice in the playoffs.

I like Hockey East’s new format . All teams are in the playoffs , one game sudden death , no best of three shit. PIGs and quarter’s at home sites with semis / championship at an Arena (Bos Garden ).

This makes absolutely no sense as NU is 0-3 in their last three games. Goaltending? Better "grade A opps" by NU's opponents? Can't tell because there are no games being carried on ESPN+. If the new Commish continues with Flow streaming, she should have her head examined for a reality check. There are enough teams in this league broadcasting on ESPN+ for other sports. Thus, the ESPN technology is available on campus and has already been purchased. Note to the Commish: Hockey East and the ECAC carry all league games on ESPN+.
Veltri made 19 saves while Niagara generated 34 shots on goal. The Purple Eagles have now registered 30 or more shots in three straight games.
POSITIVE NOTE:
The Purple Eagles are 3-2 in their last five elimination games dating back to the 2020-21 season. In their last appearance in the AHA Quarterfinals in 20-21 they came back from a 1-0 deficit on the road to eliminate Robert Morris in the three game series.

Hope can be had. Holy Cross just beat AIC in game 2 to extend that series to a third game. Reseeding after the first series could result in not playing RIT in the semis best of three.
