Sam Iorio had a shot of dunking it in the closing seconds last Friday at home vs. Fairfield and instead just took the ball away from the goal.

Canteatshit is classless, indeed.

Who's Greg K. ?
Meant to type Joe K. Sorry. Hopefully he becomes God incarnate in AC as that’s the only way NU gets to the Saturday championship.

Yeah totally classless move by the trash south of the Bridge. I do hope the Mount drills them in the MAAC PIG game on Tuesday at 5:00pm.

I'm not sure what all of this means after losing 5 of your last 6 games (see GP comments below) ? NU's box score is literally a train wreck other than NT scoring 35 pts in a listless effort by the team as a whole. Is this Anthony Mason 101 again where one player drives and shoots all day? Thanks to NU Eagle for the point of reference...

Siena and NU come into the MAAC T as the two coldest teams in the league after several miserable games. Many are saying the SC coach has lost the team with their top players considering the portal. NU has a very decent change of advancing against a totally dysfunctional Saints squad, including the coach. I'll take QU and Iona in the Final. I mean really, is there any other team playing well enough to advance to the championship game? Ok , I'll shut my big mouth up now. Comments ?
This time of year, there's so many tight games," Niagara coach Greg Paulus said. "The margin for error is really small. This is March.

"I loved our fight to come back and put ourselves right there in striking distance, but a credit to them for making those plays. We've only got 40 minutes left. Everybody's got 40 minutes and we want to be a team that has urgency for the moment."

2 comments/criticisms:

1) I don’t know why Harlan doesn’t play more. You can’t teach size, and it’s apparent from the limited time he’s been on the court that he knows the game and I’d take him shooting the rock any day of the week over Mitchell (whose missed bunny vs. SPU in the closing seconds potentially cost NU the 3 seed).

2) Why doesn’t Paulus change things up a bit from time to time on the defensive end a go to a 2-3 zone (perhaps after the first pass when the opponent crosses the timeline) to throw off the other team, especially when they are in an offensive flow (aka The Golden Girls yesterday)?

Anyhow, Go Hockey and Lady Eagles: 2 winter squads that have a shot of going deep in their conference tournaments.

I just looked at the shooting percentages for the individual players. That says a lot. I believe Kasperzyk was supposed to be a shooter. Instead he is shooting at 34% FG and 28% from 3 pts.
Bayless is quick, but has no outside game shooting less than 20% from 3 pts. land. Mitchell again can not hit a 3, and Gray seems as though he lost his touch recently.
I agree to just sink or swim with Obioha since most of the players will leave every year anyway.
