WBB NIT: NU - UW Green Bay / Tonight on ESPN3

Thirty two teams in the tourney and Niagara made the Sweet 16. The NCAA divided the teams into 4 regions and he team geographically had to fit there. I saw both NU games at Princeton and Columbia Sc. The highlight of my college life!

Many of us on this Forum never experienced NU's glory years in the post Murphy-Laden era. My time at Niagara consisted of Dan Raskin's shit show at the NF's Convention Center. Many of us witnessed first hand SBU's Delmar Herod's 93 foot buzzer beater in 1979/80 after Chick Lyles missed the front end of the 1-1. Freakin disaster !

I remember those years with Philly. We went to South Carolina together. Also remember those years going to the NIT at the Garden. For some reason, I thought this is going to continue on an annual basis but alas it wasn’t to be. I wish the women’s team,Good luck in Green Bay!

The news is that Angel Parker will return to NU for her extra year of eligibility. This type of news is no longer expected from a men’s star on a mid major. Congrats to Angel.
