Re: NCAA Hockey Portal / NU announces new transfers
NU Hockey News:
"Niagara hockey head coach Jason Lammers announced that Jay Ahearn will serve as captain ahead of the 2023-24 season."
"Ahearn is entering his third season at Niagara and first suited up in 2022-23 after redshirting his freshman season. The Staten Island, N.Y. native will serve as the 30th captain in program history and is the first player to dawn the 'C' since Chris Harpur in 2021-22."

The NCAA is allowing teams to have three full-time assistants. I wonder if NU will hire another coach.
"Numerous teams have begun to hire third assistants, as allowed now by NCAA rules. How this coach will serve, depends on the team's needs. Some, will focus on recruiting. Others will be more of a goalie coach, while others are simply a third assistant."
"Along with the ability to have a third full-time assistant, teams are no longer allowed to have a volunteer assistant. In some cases, that means a team's existing volunteer assistant — who in many cases was also the goalie coach — will just be designated a third full-time assistant, even if unpaid. Expect more teams, especially at the bigger schools, to formally announce new assistant coach hires in the coming weeks."

Re: NU Hockey News
AHA appoints new media manager...LE will post PR.
Re: NU Hockey News
This is a step in the right direction. Stretch internet or whatever the monthly service the AHA utilizes will not move the needle or advance the brand. Hockey East and the ECAC televise ALL league games on ESPN Plus. Of importance, maximum media exposure for recruits is a factor in their decision making .
The following schools have ESPN+ technology on-site for basketball: NU, CC, SHU, RMU, Holy Cross , and Army. AIC and Bentley offered select games on ESPN+ last season.

Re: NU Hockey News
Lets see what the AHA media rep can do. It would be helpful if there was contact information listed on the AHA website.
Re: NU Hockey News
Big mistake, the AHA announced a new deal with Flo Sports . Obviously the new leadership doesn’t understand or doesn’t want to understand the superior market exposure re ESPN plus.
