Munoz got the Save to keep M's in wildcard spot.

With Yankees in a Rain Delay we have Matt Brash and The Mariners at TB on FS1 at 4PM this Saturday afternoon.
Matt is likely to pitch today as he had a day of rest Friday.
Want to see M's make the playoffs as they are in position with three weeks remaining in regular season.

With six days rest while the M's may be watching innings count on young pitchers, Matt pitched the 8th today recording three K's and 1 BB and 1 hit.
No runs...ERA down to 3.14.
M's won and still on the edge of wild card!

This from Jeff Passan of ESPN.com when discussing who has the nastiest stuff in MLB :

" Matt Brash: The crown prince of nasty in 2023, Brash combines elite velocity and preposterous movement. He's got a dozen worthy candidates, including this curveball in which he nutmegs poor Willi Castro."

Brash was brought in tonight v Tx Rangers in 6th with 2 out and 2 on and got the final out in a bizarre 3, 4, 1 play.
He then the 7th allowing 1 hit and retired the side with no runs.
MLB announcers said he has pitched more innings in relief than any AL pitcher and has recorded 103 SO's for 2nd in AL.
ERA now a formidable 2.96.
Hope his success brings more good talent to coach McCoy's team at NU!

I was surprised Brash was brought in last night in the 7th after throwing 25 pitches the prior night.
He gave up 3 hits and 1 earned rung throwing 16 pitches.
His ERA eased up to 2.97.
Four games left and M's have to win out to have any chance at the last WC.
