On opening day, Mariners brought Matt in to start the sixth as first reliever.
He allowed one hit, stuck out two and no runs throwing 18 pitches.

Brash was victim of two players colliding which resulted with a lead off double.
While pitching well, the runner scored to tie the game 5-5 end of inning.

Matt faced three batters in 7th inning today v The "Guardians" and got three SO's in Mariners win.
Haven't found # of pitches...will see in the morning paper.

Mickey were off by 5 pitches , Brash made 14 pitches .

Well I was close! I looked on the MLB box score but couldn’t fine the number, where did you find it? The inportant thing is his ERA is down from four to a little over two, about the same rate of decline as my IRA.

His ERA got raked by the blooper two fielders blew three games ago.
He's been bringing it down since.
Wonder if we'll see him playing someday in Toronto!
