This 2023 is a great schedule, especially compared to past years. I will even buy two season tix, and donate them back, since I probably will not make a game and if I did would not need to pay.
I looked again at our 1982-83 schedule and it was awesome

Best schedule in last 40 years?
Re: Best schedule in last 40 years?
Ambitious- Good for recruiting to play big names, maybe not helpful for a 20 win season. Heck of a test for a team playing together for a very short time.
Re: Best schedule in last 40 years?
They still get to play the awful MAAC schedule and have some easy ones, St Francis, Binghampton, etc.
ND, Cuse, Bonnie’s, UB, Bucknell, Buff St, bing, St Francis, 2 MTE. Very solid!

Re: Best schedule in last 40 years?
I agree nubball , it's a good blend of winnable games along with playing higher profile programs . Playing a challenging schedule will prepare the team for conference play , along with generating revenue for the school .
Re: Best schedule in last 40 years?
If my memory serves me correct, Armstrong did schedule "up" early in his career with games against SJU, Providence , Princeton, Kansas, Purdue, SBU etc...This years schedule is a good mix with "up" games and very winnable against teams from the Patriot League, NEC, AEast, MAC and the Horizon.
I thought I went to a Hofstra game on LI back in 82-83?
