Joe Mihalich, Tim Cluess, and Jim Nance have been named the recipients of the 2023 Joe Lapchick Character Award. The award luncheon will take place on Thursday, Sept. 21st 2023 (11:30AM) at the New York Athletic Club. Mr. Hart is hoping to pull together a "Niagara Table or two". If we were still living in CT, I would certainly make an effort to attend this event.

I wonder if Ed Mac (VCU AD) will attend. Ed and JAM were very close during NU's two NCAA runs. Ed was a very dynamic individual that clearly understood the challenges and landscape of mid-major basketball and hockey. He worked tirelessly at forging a new college hockey league consisting of the "have nots" of the old CCHA and the Western AHA schools.

Luncheon attendance is capped at 250 and yesterday they were a little over 200.
Todd Callen, the broadcast voice of NU BB has joined NU as Assistant AD for corporate partnerships.
Todd will be attending the lunch.

Looks light seven NU alumni will be attending including AD Simon Gray and Asst AD and voice of NU BB Todd Callen plus the long time ticket holders, the Barto brothers.
Four folks are traveling from NF to the Apple!
This was the most viewed event on our hosts blog ever approaching 700 over two weeks!
NU alumni are watching.
