Niagara picked to finish 9th in the MAAC Coaches Poll.

Who are these new Iona first year players who made ALL-MAAC: Joel Brown and Idan Tretout ?

No NU players made any of the "three" ALL-MAAC Teams.

I feel that NU will be a lot better than what others expect . GP seems to have some pretty good pieces to work with , also if big Harlan can build on last season's improvement the Purps can be a very dangerous team that'll sneak up on the rest of the conference .

I agree. With all of our transfers combined with Bayless at PG along with Big O, my uneducated opinion would place the Purps in the top 5. Besides Rider and maybe Iona , there are a lot of unknowns on every MAAC roster. QPac has some upside with returning players under first year HC Pecora. I’m not sold on the Griffs as they have notoriously underachieved under Reggie W. Siena has a big “if” regarding the availability of their Austin Peay transfer. Lots of questions on every roster .

Who is going to be our “go to guy “this season with no Noah T or Gray in the line-up ? Bayless, O , or one of the transfers? Maybe O steps it up and plays 25-30 minutes a game. Niagara needs to
get 10 points and 5 -6 rebounds per game from him in and around the paint .

Every team needs that “ go to” guy. I guess we need to wait to see if anyone steps into that role. I am sure that Coach Paulus will use a lot of combinations to start the season and then evolve into the 8-9 regular players.
I personally believe that the frosh, Henderson, is going to be a star for NU. Speed is something that is hard to defend regardless of one’s height.
Optimistic that NU will be competitive.
