This is complete absolute horseshit. Let me get this straight, so the Power 5 schools plus the Big East have seized control of the at-large bids, not only in the NCAA’s , but the NIT as well. Don’t fret boys , we still have the CIB and CIT. It’s all about money period and those 6 leagues.

We all know where this is headed so I am not surprised.
The Power 5 or 6 conferences will have their own conference in 5 years and everyone else will be an 1 AA division.

Time for the Mids to have an open rebellion.
If they enlarge the tourney, the extra bids will just go to the Power schools.

I think we have reached a tipping point due to the NIL, portal along with this direct punch in the face. Very sad.

Another aspect to this that has commissioners and others pissed off.

There was no discussion, no communication. No one had a clue these NIT changes were coming.

The NCAA did what it never does. Made a quick decision — but this time it screwed it up
