Our AD had another major mistake with David Mitchell. how NU's Athletic Staff/Compliance staff cannot mange the only revenue/Positive PR sport is amazing. Both 'mistakes" are in the basic rule book.
Sorry two strikes you are out.

Re: AD does it again
I am not sure one can blame the AD with the screwed up NCAA these days. There are multiple teams waiting for rulings by the NCAA on a player’s eligibility.
Re: AD does it again
Gooodness gracious! Defending SG is exactly why Niagara Athletics are what they are!
Re: AD does it again
The NCAA is all over the place with regards to eligibility and waiver requests. It seems as if the Power 5 schools are receiving eligibility and waiver approvals while the mid’s are being denied or the apps are still pending. Honestly , I’m not very knowledge on the intricate details of these requests , but I surely have more confidence in Simon than the largely incompetent NCAA . Siena , MSM, Manhattan and Iona still have pending requests etc.
Re: AD does it again
Siena’s two time transfer waiver request was denied. Manhattan’s and MSM requests are still pending. NCAA has recently approved others , but seems to be cherry picking with MAAC requests. It's a farce.
Good quote from the FU Board:
“Disappointing but not unforeseen. NCAA is now all of a sudden playing tough guys. UNC cried and pulled rank and had enough pull to get their waiver reinstated but that is not going to happen here. The NCAA just mocks itself with these convoluted rules and appeals."
Jon Rothstein on X :
Source: Little Rock's KK Robinson has received a waiver from the NCAA and is eligible for the 2023-24 season.
Robinson is a two-time transfer who has previously played at both Texas A&M and Arkansas.
Back on September 21st, the NCAA had granted a waiver to George Mason’s two time transfer Woody Newton.

Confidence in Simon? Why?
Trust me the Niagara is issue has zero to do with the NCAA and asking for a waiver!

Re: Mitchell ? NCAA waiver requests re 2x transfers
This was definitely a Niagara screw up. Mitchell was in all of the roster photos, promo photos, hell he even went to Atlantic City to represent the team for the MAAC season kick off event last month. None of that would have happened if he had a "waiver" pending. Unbelievable that the AD allows 2 major screw ups like this before the season even starts!
Re: Mitchell ? NCAA waiver requests re 2x transfers
Ok I get the anger directed towards the AD.I am disappointed by him frequently. That being said maybe someone can answer me the question as to why he does not get another year of eligibility ? My understanding of the ruling was players that were impacted by Covid got the 2019/2020 season given to them again. Now the Ivies canceled their 20/21 season. Thus it was a red shirt year for all. The Ivies don’t allow the redshirt year or the extra Covid year to be played at an Ivy League school. So with that thought, the 20/21 is a redshirt year and his first season at NU would count as that season, but why not the the make year of eligibility that all were awarded for 19/20 season ?

Has MItchell been ruled ineligible already or are they still waiting for a ruling? Now that the first semester is almost over, I find it incredulous that the NCAA has waited so long since it affects their status as a student as well and isn't that what college is all about especially with mid major schools.

Ha. When has the NCAA recently cared about an individual’s role as a student?
