It looks like the city of Niagara Falls is proposing that NU manage Sal Maglie Stadium . The city has spent nearly $1.5 million dollars in adding artificial turf along with other upgrades . With no permanent tenant , spending that much on the stadium seems odd with so many needs in the city .

Re: Sal Maglie Stadium
I think Niagara U was involved with the stadium management in the past. Some type of minor league baseball played there. I wonder what the facility looks like inside. I give the City some credit for trying to promote something!
Another long period of “ no news “ regarding the downtown proposed project.

Re: Sal Maglie Stadium
Sal Maglie is home to the Niagara Power baseball club of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League . It is a Summer college baseball league primarily centered in upstate New York. Similar but not as well known (and not as good) as the Cape Cod League. The team is owned by the Hospitality and Sports Management School of Niagara and is managed by students at the university. I believe the university got permission from the NCAA to acquire the team providing no NU varsity players played for the team. So the university already has a stake in the field as its prime tenant.
